Bridge of the Rising Sun (Kau Thehoek)

In the center of Hanoi is the sacred Lake Hoankiem (or “Lake of the Returned Sword”). In the northern and southern parts of the lake are two small islands, which the Vietnamese consider the body and head of a sacred turtle. On the southern island, which lies close to the center of the lake, is the Turtle Tower (Thap Zua). And on the northern island is the Temple of Jade Mountain (Den Ngokshon). To get to the temple of the Jade Mountain, you need to walk along the Bridge of the Rising Sun.
