About the company:

The Battle of Dien Bien Phu, which marked the end of the French era in Indochina, marked the highlight of the First Indochina War, which lasted from 1946 to 1954. The main result of the war was the division of Vietnam into North and South, as well as the withdrawal of all French troops from its territory. The Battle of Dien Bien Phu lasted almost three months and ended on May 7, 1954, with the triumph of the Viet Minh. The French army found itself in a desperate situation and was captured together with the commander-in-chief, General de Castries.

The Battle of Dien Bien Phu entered the history of free Vietnam as a matter of special national pride. In memory of this outstanding event in 1984, on the 30th anniversary after the end of the battle, the Museum of Victory at Dien Bien Phu was opened, which was supposed to preserve the memory of the heroic victory. In 2004, the area of the museum increased significantly due to the opening of open-air expositions.

By and large, almost the entire city is a huge museum of historical victory. In its exposition there are thousands of exhibits. There are many photos and documents related to the military operation. There are many items of personal use of soldiers, ranging from uniforms to weapons. Among the most significant exhibits are the command bunker of General de Castries and the reconstructed fortifications of the French army. Of great interest to visitors are samples of military equipment used by both sides.
