Excursion to Taininin and Kuchi Tunnels

The tour begins with a trip to the administrative center of Taininin Province - Taininin City, located 100 km from Ho Chi Minh City, near the border of Cambodia. It is the birthplace of Kaodaism, one of the most vibrant and exotic religions that has absorbed the components of many religions of the world: Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, traditional Vietnamese spiritual traditions, Christianity and even Islam. Today it is one of the fashionable religious movements of the world. In the city of Tainining created a whole ensemble of temple buildings with original majestic architecture. Here you will have a unique opportunity to visit the main temple "Thanthat" of the Kaodaist temple complex Holy See and attend the noon service. This is the only place in the world where you can see such a service.

Next, you will visit the Kuchi tunnels built by Vietnamese guerrillas during the war with the United States (17 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, near the village of Bendinh). Underground multi-level labyrinths, equipped with secret passages, hatches and bomb shelters, warehouses, workshops, hospitals, headquarters, living quarters, kitchens with a cunning smoke escape system, so that the smoke was not noticeable to the enemy, and a kind of even a maternity hospital, are a real symbol of courage and the desire for independence. The tunnels were dug by hand within a radius of 200 km. There were about 16,000 guerrillas at the same time. This tunnel system caused a lot of trouble to American troops and is still a place of pilgrimage for the Vietnamese.
