Gastronomic tour of the streets of night Saigon (delicious food + fresh beer)
Description:
For lovers of tasty food and fun, I suggest dipping into the sea of lights on the streets of night Saigon. In terms of delicious, fresh and inexpensive street food, Saigon is a real paradise.
And it's no accident. In the fertile land of Saigon lived and worked, ate and drank Khmers, Vietnamese, Thais, French, Chinese. Today, their descendants continue to live on this land and cook dishes, from one kind of which everyone will spit and wolf appetite will play out.
We will start our unforgettable trip to Ho Chi Minh City with a walk through the city center. We will see the ancient building of Notre Dame de Saigon, the French post office, the statue of the Virgin Mary, the Palace of Independence, Rebellion Street, the city hall building, the French theater, the Continental Hotel, the embankment of the Saigon River, a panorama of the most modern high-rise buildings of the city and much more.
At Ben Thanh Market we will start our gastronomic tour of the city streets.
The first dish on our list will be the famous Saigon sandwich. Recently, it was recognized as one of the 10 most delicious street dishes in the world. We will see how it is prepared by the most popular place in the city - for 7 hours of evening trade, the hostess of the institution sells 350 such sandwiches.
Soup with rice noodles on beef broth-pho bo-probably, and rightly is the most famous Vietnamese dish. If you have already tried this dish, we can replace it with another famous dish native to central Vietnam-bun bo Hue. Slowly moving through the central areas of the city, we will enjoy the view of the night city and try Vietnamese pancakes nam (or, if you like, another version of pancakes - goi cuon), eat rice noodles with fried meat and Hanoi sauce (bun cha Hanoi) or stuffed pancakes that are cooked in the Mekong-banh xeo mien Tay Delta. Try to leave room in your stomach for fresh draught beer-bia hoi (or tea and coffee if you don't drink beer). Vegetarians won’t starve to death either – the choice of street vegetarian dishes is wide.
