Tour 2: Excursion to the Kuchi tunnels
Description:
The Kuchi tunnels are 200 kilometers of three-level underground labyrinths near Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), in which guerrillas sheltered during the war with the Americans. The tunnels were not easy to hide, the labyrinths served as an underground military base, there was a headquarters, a military hospital, an ammunition depot and everything necessary for the combat capability of a large military contingent.
The network of tunnels allowed the guerrillas to carry out covert attacks on American troops and win victories with many times smaller composition. To combat the tunnels, the United States used defoliant spraying, which caused large-scale chemical contamination of water and soil.
