Tam Kok National Park
491C, Ninh Thắng, Ninh Binh, Vietnam
Description:
Tam Kok, also known as "Halong Dry Bay", "Halong Bay without water" or "Halong Bay in rice fields", is one of the natural wonders of Vietnam. Located about 10 km from Nin Binh, it has recently attracted more and more tourists.
There Kok means in translation "Three caves". In these places, the river made its way through the rocks, forming beautiful through caves. Renting a boat, you can swim through the quiet, calm waters of the Ngo Dong River, admiring the water lilies, past limestone cliffs up to 100 meters high, watching the jumps of mountain goats along their slopes. From all sides you will be surrounded by islands looking out of the water. In this case, there is some déjà vu, and suddenly you begin to understand where the comparison with Halong originated. Walking on a boat under the arches of the caves further enhances the similarity.
The first cave is called Han Sa. It is the largest: 127 m long and 20 m wide. Take care of your head - in some places the vault drops very low, so you will have to bend down. Soon you will find yourself in the second grotto - Hang Hai. It is a little smaller, only 60 meters, but also beautiful. The third part is 46 meters. All the time you will be accompanied by an amazing natural silence, broken only by the rare chirping of birds and the sound of falling drops.
