Nha Trang Air Base

Muine Resort

Description:

Mui Ne is one of the places in Vietnam with the most sunny days and the least rainfall. The rainiest months are June-July, September. During the wet season, air humidity is about 80%, during the dry season - 70%. Even during the wet season, it is often sunny here.

Muine is famous for good weather conditions for surfing, windsurfing and especially kitesurfing. The high season in this regard is December-February, and sometimes November-March, when winds blow from sea to land. Due to these water sports and entertainment, Mui Ne is called “Vietnamese Hawaii”. Every year, in January, international windsurfing competitions are held in Muin.

15-18 miles south and southeast of Mui Ne are two chains of coral reefs with a depth of about 13 m, places suitable for diving.

40 km from Phanthieta is Mount Ta Ku, on which stands the Sleeping Buddha Pagoda, built in 1831. There are 1,000 steps to the pagoda. The Vietnamese believe that if you make a wish while climbing them to the pagoda and then whisper it to the Buddha, it will be fulfilled. Mount Ta Ku is surrounded by jungle.

Not far from this place on the island stands the lighthouse Ke Ga, built under the French colonial administration in the late 19th century. It is considered the oldest lighthouse in Southeast Asia.
