Mount Ham Rong

The slopes of the mountain are a real botanical treasury, where many types of flowers and trees are collected. Climbing the cobbled stone paths, you can get into the magnificent orchid garden. There are about six thousand copies of these flowers, presented in all the variety of their forms and colors.

In addition to orchids on the slopes of the mountain you can find gentle hydrangeas, colorful geraniums, magnificent lilies. One of the wealth of Ham Rong is healing herbs. They are collected by local residents to prepare healing ointments and tinctures according to ancient recipes. Many fruit trees in the spring cover Ham Rong white and pink foam petals. Floral compositions, terraces, stone gardens, grottoes, bizarre tree trunks - it is not always clear who created them: whether Mother Nature tried, or whether a person managed to unobtrusively help her.

Those who will be able to overcome the steep climb and reach the top of the mountain, waiting for a fabulously beautiful panorama of the city of Sapa and its environs. Here, at an altitude of 1800 meters, is the so-called San Mai, which means Cloud Yard. From here you can admire the highest mountain of Vietnma - Fansipan. It is sometimes called the "Roof of Indochina".
