Silver Thak Bak Falls

near Sapa village, Vietnam

Description:

To see this wonderful natural monument, you need to drive only 12 kilometers from the village of Sapa, gradually moving up the winding mountain road. About the approach to the waterfall you will know in advance: the sound, at first quiet and not very clear, then more formidable and rolling will tell you the right direction.

The waterfall for a length of 100 meters flows down the slope of the mountain in a powerful stream, roaring and multi-water. This picture is especially impressive during the rainy season. Numerous stone ledges break the water into tiny drops: thick foam forms on the water, a light silver mist above its surface. It feels like you and everyone around you are sinking into the clouds. On a clear day, the sun's rays are refracted in water droplets, forming a rainbow glow. The air around is humid, clean and unusually fresh. A graceful bridge of rattan is thrown over the waterfall, with a stunning view of the bubbling stream.
