Labor Day in Jamaica

Description:

Jamaicans work for free on this day for the benefit of their communities.
Labor Day was first celebrated in Jamaica in 1939. Jamaica is an island blessed with amazing beauty. But time, coupled with thoughtless actions, undermined the environment, gradually everything fell into decay.

Low economic growth, the need to eliminate various problems associated with the repair of hospitals, schools, police stations, roads - all this became the prerequisites for the introduction of Labor Day.

On Labor Day, it is a tradition that Jamaicans work for free on this day. And, although residents understand the importance of participation in these days, every year the number of participants decreases – because many people just want to relax on this day from their daily activities.
