Museum of Fort Charles-Maritai n
About the company:
The Fort Charles-Maritheim Museum is a museum reflecting Jamaica's maritime history. It is located in the suburb of Kingston - Port Royal, in the former headquarters building of the British Royal Navy, where in 1779 served the famous English Vice Admiral - Baron Horatio Nelson.
Port Royal is a small town built in 1665 and proclaimed the pirate capital of the region, which was destroyed in an earthquake in 1692.
To date, most of the city has been reconstructed, and the surviving building of Fort Charles has been turned into the Charles Maritheim Museum, the exposition of which tells about the “glorious” pirate everyday life of Porta Royal, where you can see large-scale models of the fort and ships of past eras.
