Royal House Museum

West Kings House Road, Kingston, Jamaica

About the company:

The Royal House, built in 1907 by architect Charles Nicholson, is located in downtown Kingston, on the town square, on the site where the Anglican Bishop of Jamaica once stood. It was this house, acting as the "Government House", many saw in the first James Bond film, shot in 1962.

This building is a reconstruction of an 1872 building destroyed by an earthquake. Once in this building was the residence of the Governor, now there is one of the museums of the capital.

The Royal House is a palace built in the colonial style and striking with its beauty and grandeur: original decorations, rich interior decoration (expensive decorative elements are used - tapestries embroidered with gold) and luxurious furniture.
