Bob Marley's homeland
Description:
Bob Marley is a Jamaican legend. Like Dunnes Falls, it is the island’s largest and most famous waterfalls. Some say they are also the most beautiful.
So, 3 legends of the island in one day. The day begins with a visit to the waterfalls.
Dunnes Falls is 180 meters of cascades flowing into the Caribbean Sea. The main thing here is to climb the waterfall, having passed all the obstacles. Although, if there is no such desire, then you can walk along it, since everything is equipped for hiking, and even for wheelchairs and wheelchairs. For “walkers” there are several outlets in the water – to swim and take pictures.
After a refreshing waterfall, our path lies in the mountains, to the village where Bob Marley was born and buried. Don’t expect Bob’s mausoleum to be like Lenin’s mausoleum! No, you won't see Bob.
You will find the history of Rastafarianism, stories from the life of the legend of reggae, his house, personal belongings and much more, but in the mausoleum you will see only marble slabs, behind which Bob is. And yes, photos in the mausoleum are prohibited.
Dinner at the local cafe - Jerk Center!
Before returning, we will visit another legend of the island - the Luminous Lagoon, where you can swim in the warm glowing water.
Perhaps it is worth warning: the lagoon glows thanks to fluorescent microorganisms. At a full moon, the glow is weaker than on normal days. Also, after heavy rain, the glow may also be weaker.
