Osaka Maritime Museum

The Osaka Maritime Museum is not located here by chance. Since ancient times, this city was the center of sea transportation, and it was decided to open a museum here, which would preserve the history of relations between man and the sea. Construction began in 1998 and opened on 14 July 2000.

The museum is an interesting construction in the form of a dome, located on the shore of Osaka Bay. Under the dome there are four floors, on each of which there is a collection of exhibits of ships, equipment and other things related to the sea. The biggest attraction of the museum is a replica of the Japanese merchant ship Naniwamaru, presented in life size. There is also an open area, once on which you can relax, enjoying an amazing view of the bay.

This museum is the greatest treasure of Japan, one of the largest museums in the world.
