Tour. 4 angles of Mount Fuji

Description:

For many visitors to Japan. Sacred Mount Fuji is included in the list of must-visit places. Since 2013, Mount Fuji has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, adding to its popularity among tourists. The Japanese themselves say “Who was not on Fuji is a fool, who was on Fuji twice, is a fool twice” this illustrates the attitude of local residents to the rather difficult physically process of conquering the mountain. In fact, there may be several approaches to visiting Fuji. I will try to describe in detail the possible options for a tour of Fuji.

  1. Climbing. The climbing process is quite complex and requires some preparation. There are also time limits.
  2. 5 base. This is an intermediate station of 10 from which the ascent of the mountain begins. This is a place you can reach by car. Sometimes there are weather restrictions and access to 5 base is closed, in this case you have to be satisfied with the views of the observation deck 4 station. As a rule, the climb to one of these stations is included in the main program of the tour to Fuji. At 5 stations, you can send a postcard from the alpine mail, ride horses, visit the Shinto sanctuary. You will be offered to treat yourself to rare varieties of Japanese ice cream, and of course buy a variety of souvenirs with Fuji themes. I do not recommend visiting base 5 in cloudy or cloudy weather, because you will not have the opportunity to appreciate the view from the mountain, and the mountain itself can be seen only fragmentary.

Regional attractions.

  1. “Kati-Kati Yama” or “Kachkach” Mountain The story of this place brings us back to the legend of a brave hare who was able to punish his detractor by watering the firewood on his back. "Kati-Kati" is a somato-poetics that conveys the sound of cracking firewood. But if we distract from the legend, the slide is quite an amazing place. It can be climbed by cable car, and from the top there is an amazing view of the local lakes and Mount Fuji itself. For fans of trekking from the mountain there is a hiking route that will open you even more amazing views of the terrain.
  2. A boat cruise on the lake. There is a small cruise ship on the lake, but you can also charter a boat for a small group. Colorful grandfathers will gladly take you on the water surface of Lake Kawaguchi, giving even more stunning views of Mount Fuddy.
  3. Craft village. "Iyashi, but Sato." This cultural park is made in the format of an old village with huts, as they were made in the old days. The park is located on the hills and from the upper points there is also a striking view of Fuji. For tourists in the park is offered for a small fee the opportunity to dress in traditional Japanese outfits by choosing their images of geisha, samurai or ninja. Costume photo shoot on the background of the mountain will replenish the collection of impressions. In addition, in the park you will see shops with author’s products from local wood. Artificial glass and ceramics.
  4. Aokigahara Suicide Forest. The place is terribly famous in Japan as one of the most popular places of suicide. The forest is quite dense and eerie, because of the dense volcanic rock of the soil there are not even functioning compasses, thanks to this place has become popular among lovers of nerves.
  5. Caves. The Fuji area is famous for its caves. Japanese businessmen have ennobled many of them and made them suitable for tourism. Bat Cave, Wind Cave, Ice Cave is where you can go down to see the underworld.
