First of all, we will go to the Shinjuku Skyscrapers area, where the architectural ensemble of government buildings, the architect of which was the legendary Kenzo Tange, is located. It was he who oversaw the rebuilding of Hiroshima after the 1945 bombings and the creation of a peace park and later an Olympic center in Tokyo for the 1964 Olympics.
We will climb to the observation deck in the building of the Tokyo City Hall to a height of 202 meters. In the center of the hall is a piano, where anyone can play.
Move to one of the most beautiful national parks Shinjuku Gyoen, which is more than 100 years old. In the park there is a botanical garden with a stunning collection of tropical plants. The Alley of Cypresses and the Rose Garden will take us to France. But the most impressive will be a Japanese garden with ponds, through which humpback bridges are thrown, and on the banks there are stone lanterns, a gazebo among the pines and a tea house. In the spring we are waiting for cherry blossoms. In summer: hydrangea and roses. Autumn: camellia, roses. In winter: chrysanthemums and a riot of maple colors. At any time of the year and the weather is wonderful.
We'll have lunch at one of the restaurants.
At the end of the program, we will transfer to the era of the military past of Japan, in the days of the samurai. The museum is made in the traditional Japanese style, on the second floor we take off our shoes and step on the tatami, which covers all the rooms and corridor. In each room are presented: Samurai armor, the legendary swords of Katana and the first swords of Tachi, as well as other tools. A variety of combat helmets and masks, as well as wick guns and arquebuses will not leave you indifferent. At the Museum, a samurai show is held at certain hours, which shows the basic principles of samurai combat. If you are lucky you will become a participant of the show, you will be shown how to properly be in the battle stand, etc. During the show, you can take photos, and at the end of the show, make a memorable photo by changing into the armor of a samurai or a kimono with a participant in the show.
