Detailed description of the tour

10:05 Transfer to Yokohama. The road will take about 40 minutes.

We will visit one of the most beautiful gardens of Yokohama - the architectural garden of Sankeyen. The history of the garden dates back to the first half of the 20th century. Many wooden buildings brought here from all over Japan, whose age ranges from 100 to 500 years, are buried in the rugged vegetation of the garden. The pearl of the garden is a three-tiered pagoda on the top of a hill built in the 15th century. Since the garden can be admired all year round by the flowering of certain plants, it is a popular place for wedding photoshoots in traditional Kimono attire. You have a unique opportunity to see the newlyweds in beautiful national clothes.

We will pass a simplified tea ceremony with the opportunity to capture the work of the master in a photo or video.

Motomachi was originally a quiet village for farming and fishing until 1859, when the port of Yokohama was opened. Since then, the neighbouring Kannai district has become a business district for foreigners, and the neighbouring Yamate district has become a residential area for foreigners. Located between Yamate in the east and Kannai in the west, Motomachi was frequented by many foreigners. Shops and businesses serving the needs of foreigners were opened. In the early 20th century, the number of foreign residents increased and Western influence became more apparent in Motomachi with the opening of many cafes, bakeries and boutiques. Such shops were rare in Japan at the time, and Motomachi helped introduce Western culture to Japan.

We will have lunch at one of the restaurants or cafes you like.

Walk through Chinatown, which is considered one of the largest in the world and is one of the main attractions of the city. Chinatown was founded in 1859, after it was settled by traders who moved from China to Japan. 4 entrances to Chinatown are decorated with colorful multi-colored gates, each of them carries a certain meaning. The main symbol of Chinatown is the Kantei-bye Temple - This temple was built in 1873 by local residents and is dedicated to the god of commerce. The temple was repeatedly destroyed by earthquakes and fires, but was restored with funds from the Chinese diaspora. But the most revered temple is the Masobe/masobyo Buddhist temple - dedicated to the "Holy Mother of Heaven", commonly referred to as "Ma Zhu", has indeed existed in Chinese history. On the narrow and colorful streets of Chinatown you can find a lot of interesting things.

We will go to Yamashita Park, which is the oldest port park in Japan. The park was built on the ruins after the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923 and opened in 1930. It offers stunning views of the bay and the Yokohama Bay Bridge. On the territory of the park there is a French rose garden, a monument to the fountain of the marine protector and a monument of friendship of peoples through the eyes of children America - Japan. But there is a special monument, a little girl in red shoes, which is sung in the famous Japanese song (akai kutsu). The song is based on a true story that I will tell you.

At the end of the day, we will visit the business card of the city of Yokohama: the Land Mark Tower is the third tallest in Japan. We will climb the high-speed elevator at a speed of 45 km / h. and find ourselves on the observation platform Sky Garden at an altitude of 273 meters. From here opens a fascinating panorama of the city. In good weather, the city of Tokyo and Mount Fuji are visible. There is a sky bar where you can have a cup of coffee or a glass of beer before returning to Tokyo.

After such a busy day, you will have time to relax in the car on your way to Tokyo. The return journey will take about an hour.
