Fuji - Japan's sacred mountain

Description:

Excursion to Mount Fuji is an acquaintance not only with the main symbol of Japan, but also with the surrounding cultural and natural space. The Fuji region is a combination of landscapes, traditional settlements and dots related to the history of mountain perception in Japanese culture.

The route is based on weather conditions and visibility, as Fuji is often hidden by clouds. We leave Tokyo and gradually approach the mountain along the way, making stops in places where the most expressive views open up, as well as in locations that allow us to better understand the role of Fuji in the life of the region.

The program includes visits to the Five Lakes of Fuji, observation decks with panoramic views, as well as traditional Shinto shrines associated with the veneration of the mountain. These places allow you to see Fuji from different angles and feel how a natural object becomes part of a religious and cultural tradition.

Special attention is paid to the surrounding landscape: forests, water, small settlements and rural areas that form the calm rhythm of this part of Japan. If desired, the route can be supplemented by walks, visits to local points with traditional cuisine or short stops in less touristic places.

The tour takes place in an individual format and usually takes a full day. Movement is carried out by car, which allows you to flexibly change the route and adapt to the situation on the spot. This format is suitable for those who want to see Fuji without haste and excessive concentration on one object.
