Tokyo

The charm of Kyoto. Day two.

Description:

Kyoto is the ancient capital of Japan.

If you decide to spend 2 days or more in Kyoto, then I suggest you visit the Shinto temple of Fushimi Inari. Dedicated to the goddess Inari, the goddess of fruit and rice. It is known as the 1000 Red Gate Temple. This temple became the most visited temple in Japan in 2014. You can climb the mountain along the Red Gate.

Next we will visit the beautiful Buddhist temple of Tofukuji. The Temple of Eastern Happiness. The gardens of the stones and the heavenly bridge will not leave anyone indifferent. You will enter the world of peace and meditation.

And of course we will visit the famous area of Uji. On the street "Green tea" you can buy real green tea from local plantations. Try Match tea, having prepared it with a bamboo corolla. Let's take a look at Kambayashchi's house. The family has been making green tea for 500 years and has its own tea plantations. Its small museum will tell you about respect for family traditions.

Green Tea Street will take us to the beautiful Bedoin Temple. This temple was opened after a long restoration and it will amaze you with its beauty. The temple was founded in 998, initially as a villa of the Fujiwarra family. In 1052 the complex became a Buddhist temple. The temple museum houses exhibits recognized as national treasures of Japan.
