Description:
Ginza is one of the most popular areas of Tokyo.
Until the beginning of the nineteenth century, the Mint was located on the territory of Ginza, issuing silver coins. Hence the name of the quarter: the word “ginza” is translated as “coin”.
One of the most famous buildings of Ginza and its symbol is the Ginza Wako Tower, erected in 1932. Visitors to Ginza easily navigate the clock tower that crowns the Ginza Wako building. The building is located at the junction of Tuo and Harumi Dori.
Inside the building you can find interesting shops selling jewelry and luxury items. Shops are open from 10:30 to 19:00.
