Monuments to unborn children
Description:
The monument to unborn children, located in Tokyo, is surprisingly expressive and at the same time simple architectural work. It can be reached by walking from the famous Zojoji temple or from the Tokyo TV Tower only a few hundred meters.
This is a kind of social gesture that symbolizes both consolation and reproach. The monument is represented by several dozen children's figures, which are devoid of face. Each of the children is wearing a hat, there are some children's toys and things next to them, and in front of each of them there is a windmill, which at any wind makes sad and emotional sounds.
Every visitor, coming here, remembers the various reasons that prevent children from being born. Here you can always see a lot of gifts and children's things - dolls, cars, designers, soft toys, flowers ... Unborn children will never receive gifts, they can no longer be helped, but we can remind everyone that they too could be full members of society and want to live.
