Description:
The unique structure of the Tokyo Dome stadium is located in Taion Bunkyo (Tokyo) and is designed for 55 thousand people. Construction of the stadium lasted almost three years (from May 1985 to March 1988).
The uniqueness of the structure is to cover the shell, which is supported inside the building by excessive air pressure.
The first name of the stadium, because of its egg-shaped shape, received the "Big Egg". A few years ago, the name was shortened to Tokyo Dome.
This stadium is part of the recreation center “Tokyo Dome City”, which includes a park and attractions.
It hosts sports - arm wrestling, American football, various types of wrestling, basketball and baseball, as well as here you can relax and listen to concerts of world stars.
It also houses the Japanese Baseball Museum of Fame, which chronicles the history of Japanese baseball.
