Haneda International Airport
Description:
Haneda International Airport in Tokyo is one of the 2 largest air ports. It ranks 2nd in Asia and 4th in the world in terms of passenger traffic. Opened in 1931, the airport has long been the largest and busiest in the country.
Due to overload, 3 runways and an international terminal were built here. After the construction of another airport in Tokyo from Haneda, the main international load was removed. Now it is served mainly by domestic airlines. Today, a fourth runway is being built in Haneda.
The airport has a special VIP terminal, as well as seats for private aircraft. It hosts foreign heads of state and representatives of the Japanese government. Despite the location of the airport far from the capital, Haneda is used for such purposes.
