Cape of Good Hope, Seals and Penguins
Description:
One of the most popular excursions in South Africa - we will go along the coast, through the Sipoint area, known for its promenade and swimming pools, Clifton and Campsbay beaches. Further, the winding road leads to Hautbey Bay – in the past a fishing village, and now an operating harbor and a complex of restaurants, where indigenous people visit for fresh seafood. Hautbey Beach is fringed by Chapman Peak cliffs on one side and harbour on the other. From here we will sail on a boat around the rocks to the island of seals (40 min), where hundreds of these clumsy on land, but graceful in the water animals soak in the sun.
Next is the stunning Chapman Road, one of the most picturesque in the world. It is carved in an almost vertical rock at an altitude of more than 500 m, and its length is 9 km. Beware: it is possible that whales or a flock of dolphins will swim by.
Then you will go to the reserve "Cape of Good Hope", where there are several thousand species of plants, many of which are found only here. You can meet baboons, antelopes, ostriches. On the funicular or on foot you can climb to the top of the cape, where the lighthouse is located. From the observation deck of the lighthouse opens a fascinating panorama of the turbulent waters of the two oceans, swallowed many ships.
After lunch at the restaurant "Two oceans" we will go to the beach Boulders, where you can swim among giant boulders in the company of African penguins.
Next is a trip along the False Bay through coastal settlements – Simonstown with a naval base, Cockbey, known for numerous galleries and designer boutiques, and Musenberg with the perfect surf beach.
