Table Mountain National Park

Outside, Cape Town, South Africa

Description:

Table Mountain National Park is located in the Western Cape Province, lies on the territory of a mountain range forming a cape called Cape Peninsula. It is attractive because it has unsurpassed landscape and amazing vegetation.

There are several interesting objects in the park that you need to see: Table Mountain, Boulder Beach, Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope.

Table Mountain is so named because of its shape: it rises to a height of 1086 meters above sea level. The top of the mountain is flat and surrounded by perimeter rocks. There are several climbing routes on the mountain and a cable car stretches from which beautiful views open. Walking to the top of the mountain is also possible.

Boulder Beach is a bay located on the Cape Peninsula. Attractive because it gives the opportunity to observe the colony of African penguins, which includes more than 3,000 of these remarkable creatures.

The Cape of Good Hope is considered the southernmost point of Africa, before it served as a beacon for sailors and, according to legend, in this area is doomed to forever circle the Flying Dutchman. The cape is home to about 250 species of various birds, including ostriches.
