Skenderberg Square

Skenderberg Square is the cultural and historical center of Albanian Tirana. Built in the style of classicism, located in the city center. It received its name in 1968. Skandenberg is the national hero of Albania. In the center there is a monument to the hero on horseback, erected in honor of the five hundredth anniversary of his death. Since 2010, it has been a pedestrian zone with limited public transport. The fountain uses rainwater. But a year later, the transport was returned and bicycle paths were laid. The square is very green and beautiful. Here are the Haji Ephem Bay Mosque, Opera House, National Museum, Government Building, City Hall, Parliament, Central Bank.
