Day of Police Officer of Armenia

Description:

On this day in 2001, the law “On police” was adopted.
On April 16, the Armenian police celebrate their professional holiday. Police Day was officially declared on April 16, as it was on this day in 2001 that the law “On Police” was adopted.

In 2007, Armenian President Robert Kocharyan congratulated police officers on their professional holiday:

“Dear police officers and veterans, I sincerely congratulate you on Police Day. I wish you a safe and fruitful service. In a democratic society, the policeman must inspire confidence and a sense of security. Your rating in society is directly related to the volume of crime in the country and the percentage of crime detection. By performing a number of tasks assigned to you by the state, you communicate directly with citizens. I wish you that you will always do your difficult work with great responsibility, dignity and success.”

On April 16, high-ranking representatives of the Armenian police visited the Victory Park, where they laid flowers at the monument to the soldier.
