What awaits you
Admiring the sunny valleys with vineyards, you will not notice how you will find yourself in the cradle of the birth of Christianity in Armenia - the monastery-fortress Khor Virap. I will tell you about the times when he was an outpost, and about those times when our country was the first in the world to declare Christianity the official religion. Here you will discover the features of khachkars – traditional Armenian stone steles. And admire the stunning view of the biblical Mount Ararat - I hope you are lucky with the weather!
After Khor Virap, we will pass by a small village where a nest of storks is sewn over each house - this landscape fascinates travelers from early spring to early autumn.
The winding mountain roads of Armenia will lead us to the land of Armenian viticulture. In the village where the autochthonous varieties of Areni and Vosqueat grapes grow, you will try several varieties of wine: homemade from locals, young sparkling in season and wine in the hall in authentic cellars. Next you will find a real cave: you will pass under its vaults, and the local caretaker will tell about the artifacts found during the excavations.
The final goal of the trip is an ancient shrine located on a picturesque plateau. You will be imbued with the beauty and energy of this place, and I will complement the impressions with new knowledge: I will share the legend of the construction of Noravank, tell about its historical path and the symbolism of the stairs.
Organizational details
- Additional payment for the tour is made in cash in drams on the course for the day of the tour
- The tour will be conducted by me or another professional guide from our small friendly team.
- The duration of the tour on the site is 6.5 hours. This is the minimum duration. Since this is a group tour, practice shows that we return to the city by 18:00. Therefore, please, if you have a flight or other important plans for the evening, keep in mind possible delays.

- Wine tasting – from 1500 drams per person
- Entrance to the cave - 1000 drams per person
- Lunch in a family restaurant (optional) - 6000 drams per person. You can also take a snack with you.
