Architectural Yerevan

The tour begins at 11:00 near the Marriott Hotel in Republic Square.

1st

Matenadaran was built in 1920 and is one of the largest repositories of ancient manuscripts in the world (more than 17 thousand). Located at the end of the central street of Yerevan named after M. Mashtots. In front of the building are monuments of Mesrop Mashtots himself (the creator of the Armenian alphabet) and other great Armenian historians and philosophers. Inside you will see a magnificent museum with a huge number of ancient documents about different countries.

2nd

The Church of St. Gregory was built in 2001 in honor of the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity in Armenia and is the largest cathedral in Yerevan and in Armenia itself. Inside you will see a huge hall for services, as well as the delicate architecture of Armenian architects. The Church itself is located in front of the shopping center Russia, on the street Tigran Metz.

3rd

The great fortress of Erebuni was built by Urartian king Argishti I in 782 BC and became the first architectural monument from where the construction of the capital Yerevan began. The archaeological find was made during the Soviet Union and became the fact that Yerevan is older than Rome itself. Right in front of the stepped entrance there is a museum, with ancient relics and cuneiform writing of the ancient Urartian Kingdom, and on top of the hill stands the ruins of the historic city. According to Forbes magazine, it is one of the nine most ancient fortresses in the world that is worth visiting.

1. The tour begins (11:00) and ends at the Marriott Hotel in Republic Square.
2. Dear guests, please note that this is a group tour and in the case of a non-recruiting group, the tour will either be postponed to another day, or the program will be reduced or completely canceled.
3. Minimum acceptance period of orders is 7 days.
4. The tour is conducted only in Russian.
5. Please keep in mind that the group tour has its own fixed start, site inspection and general program (but we will try to be as flexible as possible on your requests).
6.The tour will be conducted by my employee (guide driver) in the second comfortable minivan.
