Yerevan

Sevan - Dilijan - Agartsin - Ijevan winery

Description:

This route is a perfect balance between the grandeur of nature, the spiritual heritage and the taste of Armenian hospitality.

Sevan: Azure meditation

Start the morning at an altitude of 1900 meters. Sevanavank is the harsh beauty of black stone against the background of piercing blue water. Here, the clouds seem so close that you can reach them with your hand, and the fresh lake breeze instantly erases the city bustle.

Dilijan: A Tale in the Fog

After passing the tunnel, you will find yourself in “Armenian Switzerland”. Dilijan meets with the smell of needles and the comfort of old quarters. Walk along Sharambeyan Street to see the work of artisans, and be sure to take a photo at the monument to the heroes of Mimino - because the local water is really miraculous.

Hagartsin: Monastery among the forests

Tucked away in a dense gorge, Agartsin looks like a scenery for a film about medieval knights. Its bright walls contrast spectacularly with the emerald greenery of the forest. It is a place where time fades, and the echo in the ancient refectory whispers the history of thousands of years ago.

Ijevan winery: Taste of sun in a glass

The bright finale of the trip is one of the oldest wineries in Armenia. Here tradition meets skill.

  • Cellar: You are waiting for cool rooms, where noble drinks ripen in oak barrels.
  • Tasting: Try the famous fruit wines (pomegranate, blackberry, cherry), which have become the hallmark of the region, or appreciate aged Ijevan cognac with its soft chocolate aftertaste.
