This tour is suitable for the first trip from Yerevan and will introduce you to Armenia – its beauty, religion, ethnicity. Get ready to travel to ancient Greece in the pagan temple of Garni, discover the legends of the cave monastery of Geghard, taste fish on Lake Sevan. You will learn how the country adopted Christianity and hear various myths.
What awaits you
From paganism: the temple of GarniRano in the morning we will reach Garni in an hour. It is the only ancient temple on the territory of the post-Soviet republics. It is as if you are in ancient Greece, looking at the monumental columns. Immerse yourself in Armenian mythology, hear legends and beautiful stories about pagan gods, learn about architecture and even dragons.
The second religious and cultural attraction in our route is the Geghard Monastery, carved into the rock. Here I will tell you how Armenia adopted Christianity, and I will open the legend of Longin’s spear. In addition, in the monastery you will admire the artful carvings and perhaps feel the energy flows of this place.
The largest in the Caucasus, Lake Sevan will be remembered by you with quiet harmonious landscapes. On the peninsula we will visit the medieval monastery of Sevanavank and talk about the symbolism of Armenian khachkars. In conclusion, I suggest eating the famous Sevan trout and kebab from cancer necks!

- Transportation costs are included in the cost
- Additional expenses: ticket to Garni (1500 drams ~ 300 rubles), lunch (optional; 15-20 euros per person)
- If desired, we can stop at one of the colorful courtyards near Garni, where you will prepare traditional Armenian lavash and baking gata (1000 drams ~ 150 rubles.)
- The tour can be held for more people (up to 50). The additional fee for each next participant will be 40 euros.
- The tour will be conducted by me or another guide from our team.
