Historical Armenia

The tour begins at 11:00 near the Marriott Hotel in Republic Square.

1st

The temple of Zvartnots or in translation from the ancient Armenian temple of the Vigilant Angels is located in the Armavir region, near the city of Echmiadzin. Built in 640 AD by Catholicos Nerses the Third Builder, it was destroyed in the 10th century by a strong earthquake, after which it was found by archaeologists in the early 20th century. In ancient times, the opening ceremony of the three-tiered temple was attended by the Byzantine Emperor Constant II. There is also a museum inside the complex, and the complex itself has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2000.

Echmiadzin Cathedral is one of the oldest monasteries in the world and the center of the Armenian Apostolic Church, where the Catholicos of all Armenians sits. It was built in the 4th century AD by St. Gregory the Illuminator (the founder of Christianity in Armenia). Inside the cathedral there are such significant relics as the Spear of Destiny, which is considered one of the authentic in the world (transported from the Geghard Monastery), Fragments of Noah's Ark, Longin's Spear and much more. It has a huge area with a beautiful garden, where you can arrange an interesting walk and make beautiful photos for memory. The Cathedral itself is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

3rd

The Sardarapat Memorial Complex was built in honor of the great victory of the Armenian people during the Turkish invasion of 1918, which, if defeated, would threaten the complete destruction of the Armenian nation. This battle took place during the Turkish intervention in Transcaucasia, 22-28 May, near the railway station of the same name. With no regular troops, the Armenian forces completely defeated the five-ten thousandth army of the Turks, thereby stopping the invasion of the entire Caucasus. The memorial covers a huge territory, where you can take an interesting walk, take photographs for memory, and at the end of the complex visit an interesting museum.

1. The tour begins (11:00) and ends at the Marriott Hotel in Republic Square.
2. Dear guests, please note that this is a group tour and in the case of a non-recruiting group, the tour will either be postponed to another day, or the program will be reduced or completely canceled.
3. Minimum acceptance period of orders is 7 days.
4. The tour is conducted only in Russian.
5. Please keep in mind that the group tour has its own fixed start, site inspection and general program (but we will try to be as flexible as possible on your requests).
6. The tour will be conducted by my employee (guide driver) in the second comfortable minivan.
