Opening up Armenia

The tour begins at 10:00 near the Marriott Hotel in Republic Square.

1st

The arboretum was founded in 1933 by Polish biologist Edmond Leonovich, who was so fascinated by the amazing nature of Armenia that he built a house here and decided to found arboretum. The botanical park is located near the town of Stepanavan, in the Lori region, to the north of the Republic. In the vast territory of the park you will see a huge number of deciduous trees of different species, as well as many species of rare plants brought from around the world, and the park itself is now managed by the son of the founder of the park. The dendropark is an ideal place for lovers of eco-tourism and walks in pure nature.

2nd

Sanahin Monastery is located in the village of the same name, near the administrative center of Lori region, the city of Alaverdi. The famous medieval Monastery dates from the 10th century and since 1996 has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. For many centuries, it served as the cultural center of this region, where there was a library, an academy and a famous scriptorium (the place where manuscripts were copied). Also inside the complex is the tomb of some members of the princely family of Zakaryans.

Surrounded by majestic gorges, Haghpat Monastery is located 10 km from Sanahin, in the village of the same name. Like the Sanahin Monastery, it was built in the 10th century by King Ashot III and in 1996 inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In the Monastery complex all these centuries, an ancient manuscript, the Mugni Gospel, was kept, which is now kept in Matenadaran. In the Monastery itself you will have the opportunity to explore the ancient architecture and the amazing nature around it.

Organizational details:
1. The tour starts (10:00) and ends at the Marriott Hotel in Republic Square.
2. Dear guests, please note that this is a group tour and in the case of a group not recruited, the tour will either be postponed to another day, or the program will be reduced or completely canceled.
3. Minimum acceptance period of orders is 7 days.
4. The tour is conducted only in Russian.
5. Please keep in mind that the group tour has its own fixed start, site inspection and general program (but we will try to be as flexible as possible on your requests).
6. The tour will be conducted by my employee (guide driver) in the second comfortable minivan.
