Description:
The tour begins at 10:00 near the Marriott Hotel in Republic Square.

The dungeon of master Levon or popularly known Underground Palace is one of the most interesting sights of Yerevan. The history of the construction of the dungeon begins from Soviet times, when Levon’s loving wife asks him to build a cellar in a house that turns into a real underground city after 23 years. For 23 years, the tireless hand and will of the master Levon Arakelyana builds a whole underground monument with a depth of 20 meters and an area of almost 300 square meters. The Miracle of Master Levon is located in the northern part of Yerevan, under the name Arinj, where we will go to enjoy this architectural beauty and where you will have the opportunity to make a wish, in a special, according to research, strong electromagnetic place of the dungeon, which is called the “Place of Dreams”, and where, upon giving, wishes are always fulfilled.

The next point of our interesting excursion is the famous and majestic Monument "Cascade". The construction project was laid back in 1924 by the legendary architect A. Tamanyan. According to his plan, the monument was to connect the north with the center for pedestrian citizens. Work began in the 80s, but lasted all several years and because of the collapse of the USSR and the Karabakh war were suspended. The work was resumed in 2002 by American patron of Armenian origin Gerard Gefeschyan, who bought the project and started the work. Inside since 2009 there is a museum of art named after Gefesjian.

After a walk and a tour of the beautiful monument “Cascade”, I will organize an unforgettable master class on the preparation of the world-famous Armenian Lavash, since ancient times considered one of the main symbols of Armenia, which was also included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2014. In a charming cozy restaurant, in the company of a wonderful master chef who will tell you stories and interesting facts about Armenian lavash, you will have the opportunity to prepare one of the main elements of any Armenian colorful feast in a traditional tandyr.

The twenty-three-meter-high Church of St. Sarkis is one of the oldest churches in Yerevan, built in 1842. St. Sargis is considered the patron saint of lovers in Armenia, he was a warrior, commander and monk during the Byzantine Empire, who built many churches, where and with the permission of the emperor (who greatly valued him) held many weddings. He and his son fell in battle, in one of the ancient battles for the faith, after which he was listed as a saint. Since 2007, at the end of January or early February, in Armenia, they celebrate their day of lovers, the day of St. Sarkis, and according to tradition, young girls eat salt cakes at night and do not drink water in order to dream of their future constricted.
