Wine to the waterfall

The tour begins at 10:00 near the Marriott Hotel in Republic Square.

1st

The village of Areni (in the past Arpa) has been considered the center of winemaking in Armenia since ancient times. Located in the Vayots Dzor region, in the valley of the Arpa River. At the entrance to the city there are two beautiful wine factories, where you will have the opportunity to take a tour and taste the best varieties of Armenian wine. Also for more than ten years, every year in October there is a wonderful wine festival, where different wine producers from all over the Republic gather and present their production.

2nd

Noravank Monastery (New Monastery) was built in the 13th century and is one of the oldest and most famous Monasteries in Armenia. Located on a slope near Areni, surrounded by its famous red cliffs. In 1996, there was an attempt to add the monastery complex to the UNESCO World Heritage List. Also, some of the buildings of the complex were built by the famous sculptor Momik. Surrounded by territory for hiking fascinating walks and massive ridges with fantastic landscape, where you can take amazing photos to remember.

The ancient astronomical observatory Karahunj is located at an altitude of 1800 meters, in the Syunik region, near the city of Sisian. The complex of 223 stones, which is also called Zorats Karer (Stone Army), according to various sources, has more than five thousand years of history, and which is also very similar to Stonehenge in England. This is a very interesting place for lovers of history, astronomy, as well as for lovers of beautiful walks in the clean air.

4th

The fabulous Shaki Falls is located in the Syunik region surrounded by amazing mountains. The height of the third waterfall of Armenia is 20 meters and is an integral part of one of the largest rivers of Armenia, the Vorotan River. Legend has it that in one of the ancient wars, the enemy captured 100 beauties in Armenia and led them to his regiment as concubines, among the beauties was a very beautiful blue-eyed maiden named Shake, who in order to avoid the fate of the concubine jumped and crossed the river when the soldiers chased her to catch her, at which point the rock in the river rose blocking the way of the soldiers and formed a waterfall with which she was able to escape, after this waterfall was named after this virgin Shaki.

2. Dear guests, please note that this is a group tour and in the case of a group not recruited, the tour will either be postponed to another day, or the program will be reduced or completely canceled.
3. Minimum acceptance period of orders is 7 days.
4. The tour is conducted only in Russian.
5. Please keep in mind that the group tour has its own fixed start, site inspection and general program (but we will try to be as flexible as possible on your requests).
6. The tour will be conducted by my employee (guide driver) in the second comfortable minivan.
