The Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex was built in 1967 in memory of the victims of the first genocide in modern human history, organized by the Turks in 1915. The memorial complex consists of a 44-meter Stela, a cone of 12 plates, a 100-meter wall of mourning and a Museum. At the entrance to the Memorial there is also a garden with trees planted by leaders of different countries. The memorial is surrounded by a huge territory, where every year, on April 24, millions of Armenians from Armenia and the diaspora rise to honor the memory of the victims.

Victory Park began to be built in 1924, when it was still called Arabkir Park, and after the Great Patriotic War it was renamed as Victory Park. There is also a majestic statue of Mother Armenia, erected in 1967, and before it there was a monument to Stalin until 1962. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Eternal Flame were built in 1970. From the outskirts of the park, from where the amazing landscape of Yerevan and Mount Ararat opens, you will have a great opportunity to take delightful souvenir photos.

The next point of our interesting excursion is the famous and majestic Monument "Cascade". The construction project was laid back in 1924 by the legendary architect A. Tamanyan. According to his plan, the monument was to connect the north with the center for pedestrian citizens. Work began in the 80s, but lasted all several years and because of the collapse of the USSR and the Karabakh war were suspended. The works were reorganized again in 2002 by the American patron of Armenian origin Gerard Gefeschyan, who bought the project and started the work. Inside since 2009 there is a museum of art named after Gefesjian.

The Republic Square was built in 1924 by the most famous architect of Armenia, Alexander Tamanyan, and was completed until 1977 (although most of the buildings were built in 1950). The territory of 30,000 square meters of white and pink tuff is the main attraction and heart of modern Yerevan. The project consists of five buildings: the Government House, the Main Mail, the Marriott Hotel, the former Foreign Ministry building and the History Museum and the Art Gallery. And in the center are the famous singing fountains that turn on in the evening.
