Ascent to Artanish, 2460m, Sevanavank Monastery

Mount Artanish is located on the lake peninsula of the same name.

Sevan, 115 kilometers from Yerevan.

We leave Yerevan at 9:00 and go to the village of Shorzha, the route begins with the highway, at an altitude of 1950m, the slopes are quite gentle, the distance to the top is 2.5 km. At the top will be approximately 13:00 to 14:00, depending on the presence, thickness and condition of the snow cover. From the top you can see all of Sevan!! Lunch is on top. The descent lasts about an hour. On the way back we arrive at the monastery of Sevanavank. Back to Yerevan.

In winter, you need waterproof trekking shoes, hammashes. From May to October, you can climb in sneakers. Seasonal clothes. You need to take a windbreaker, knitted hat, baseball cap or Panama, sunglasses, sunscreen, trekking sticks, sandwiches, tea in a thermos, water.
