Capturing a great fortress

The tour begins at 11:00 near the Marriott Hotel in Republic Square.

1st

One of the most important and famous Monasteries of ancient Armenia, Hovhanavank, is located in the village of the same name, in the Aragatsotn region. In the medieval temple dedicated to John the Baptist for many centuries, such significant relics as the Savan, in which Jesus Christ and the Nail were shrouded, with which His right hand was pierced (now the relics are stored in the Echmiadzin Cathedral).

The next attraction is the no less famous Sagmosavank Monastery, which is also located in the village of the same name, in the Aragatsotn region. The Cross Dome Temple in ancient times was famous for its book depository, where thousands of manuscripts were created and stored (now stored in the Yerevan Matenadaran). Near the Monastery there is an amazing high gorge above the Kasakh River, which offers a majestic view of the beautiful nature around, and where you will have the opportunity to take beautiful photos as a souvenir.

3rd

Amberd Fortress is probably the most famous and majestic castle remaining from Ancient Armenia, which for many centuries served as an outpost of this region. Built in the 7th century, the fortress is located at an altitude of more than 2000 meters, halfway to the highest mountain Aragats. Near the castle is also a small church built in 1026. The castle was destroyed in the 13th century by the invasion of the Mongols and reached us only in the form of majestic ruins. This is a very interesting place to explore, walk in the clean air and of course for memorable photos against the background of massive ridges and fantastic nature.

1. The tour begins (11:00) and ends at the Marriott Hotel in Republic Square.
2. Dear guests, please note that this is a group tour and in the case of a group not recruited, the tour will either be postponed to another day, or the program will be reduced or completely canceled.
3. Minimum acceptance period of orders is 7 days.
4. The tour is conducted only in Russian.
5. Please keep in mind that the group tour has its own fixed start, site inspection and general program (but we will try to be as flexible as possible for your requests).
6. The tour will be conducted by my employee (guide driver) in the second comfortable minivan.
