1 DAY

Sunny Yerevan

Today we will go on a tour of the ancient capital of Armenia. You will hear the history of the city and its first mentions. You will see the cognac factories "Ararat" and "Noy", located on the territory of the Erivan fortress of the 16th century, learn what changes happened to them.

Examine the building of Yerevan City Hall, study its symbolism. We will walk along the central streets, listening to a story about the life of the citizens. We will visit the observation deck, where the panorama of the city opens, and in good weather Ararat is visible.

We will get acquainted with such attractions as the Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre and the famous Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscripts. Let’s not ignore the Cascade – a huge staircase made of limestone, a business card of Yerevan, a modern pedestrian street North Prospekt and Republic Square – the main architectural complex, the crown of A. Tamanyan’s creation.

2 DAY

Charents Arch, Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery and “Armenian Sea”

This day will be filled with picturesque mountain landscapes and pleasant coolness. The first stop will be the Charents Arch. Built in honor of the Armenian poet and writer, the arch is located so that a memorable view of the Ararat Valley and Ararat itself opens through it.

We will admire the temple of the sun god Garni, built in the Greek style, but in compliance with Armenian architectural traditions with the help of mathematical calculations and canons of sacred geometry. Mentions of the temple date back to the 1st century. You will find out why it was not destroyed when Christianity came to Armenia. After enjoying the views and trying the water from the fountains, which is considered the most delicious in the country, we will continue the way.

Next we will visit the monastery of Geghard, surrounded by cliffs. For decades, caves in the rock were carved one after another. There is a sense of history and the spirit of the time. A very atmospheric place filled with serenity. In Geghard, grandmothers prepare gata, the national Armenian pastry in the form of a large round pie. We suggest you try!

Then we go towards Sevan - a lake at an altitude of about 1900 meters above sea level. Climb the Sevan Peninsula, go to the monastery of Sevanavank 8-9 centuries, from where there is a magnificent view of the local “sea” and seagulls fly directly overhead.

3 DAY

Choir Virap, wine tasting, Areni-1 Cave and Noravank

In the morning we go to the monastery of Khor Virap – the cradle of the birth of Christianity in Armenia: here in 301 Gregory the Illuminator baptized the Armenian king, who then made Christianity the state religion. The monastery is located 40 kilometers from Yerevan and less than a kilometer from the border of the republic at the foot of the biblical Mount Ararat, to which, according to legend, Noah’s Ark moored during the global flood.

Having seen enough of Masis, as the Armenians call Ararat, we go on. We will pass by a small village where a true nest is sewn over each house. In the spring and summer you can admire this touching picture. In the village, where the autochthonous varieties of Areni and Vosqueat grapes grow, we stop to try different varieties of wines: from home local to samples from all over the country, stored in a small tasting room.

We look into the cave Areni-1, the caretaker will tell about interesting finds during the excavations. The next stop will be the temple of Noravank, located in a gorge with steep red cliffs. It was here that the divine face was first depicted. You will hear the legend of its construction, the symbolism of the stairs, you will be able to feel the special atmosphere of this place.
