Melbourne

Sightseeing tour of Melbourne with a Russian guide for half a day

Description:

We'll meet you at the hotel in the morning or afternoon and take a tour of Melbourne by car. On this short but fascinating tour you will see all the main and interesting places for which Melbourne is famous:

  • The Old Melbourne Prison and the 888 Monument
  • Cook's cottage and unusual giant flowers (up to 10 meters high) in Fitzroy Park
  • The Victorian Parliament building and the famous Princess Theatre
  • The Yarra River embankment and the Temple of Remembrance, dedicated to the Australian and New Zealand soldiers who died in the First World War,
  • beautiful coast and beaches of Melbourne Bay,
  • popular streets of Melbourne, famous for its cafes and boutiques, and, of course, the world-famous avenue of street art, where it is formally allowed to paint graffiti on the walls of houses.

We will definitely walk through the historic part of Melbourne and learn how the city came into being and to whom it owes it, why it is so named and thanks to what event it became the largest and richest city in Australia in just 20 years of its existence. In the old part of the city it will be impossible to pass by the famous Australian pub and not look at the most famous painting in Australia in a private collection - "Chloe", learning from your Russian guide how she got there for almost nothing. And we will not miss the 2 symbols of Melbourne - the old tram number 35, which still runs around the city center, and the bright yellow facade of Central Station (where you will find out why it hangs 13 different dials).

We will not forget to walk through the main square of the city - Federation Square, pass through the Olympic Park and past the stadium where Australia Open is held annually, visit the Formula 1 race track near the city center, see Russian guns (captured by the British in Crimea!!!), look at the Russian tree, feed the black swans and look at the giant golden bees that created their hive on one of the world's tallest buildings - the Eureka Tower, where you can also climb for a small fee.

This will be a relaxed but interesting guided tour of Melbourne, where you will learn a lot about the life of the city and its history, why it is considered the best city in the world (for the fifth time in a row in 2016!), than famous and interesting.

After the tour, your guide will take you to a hotel, restaurant or other convenient place in the city. We can also take you to the airport after the tour for a small surcharge - 80 USD (usually a transfer costs from 120 USD)!
