Around Melbourne in 2 days
Description:
During the two days of this trip, you will visit the sites that are natural national heritage sites of Australia. These are the Great Ocean Road, Grampians National Park and the Sovereign Hill mine museum. The advantages of this route, first of all, is that moving around Melbourne, you do not return to the path already covered. In a two-day trip, you’ll see as much as you normally fit into three day excursions.
The first day of the trip we will spend on a trip on the Great Ocean Road, to its main attraction, the 12 Apostles. Here, if desired, you can make a short flight by helicopter.
From the 12 Apostles, our route lies through the Australian hinterland along endless fields and pastures. You will see Australia as it is. For the night we will stop in the small town of Halls Gap at the foot of the Grampians Mountains.
The second day of the trip will begin with a trip to the mountain observation platforms of Boroka and Reids, as well as descend to MacKenzie Falls.
In the afternoon we will head to Ballarat Gold Rush town. Here you will visit the Sovereign Hill mine museum, where you will immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the mid-19th century. If you wish, you can visit the local Australian Animal Park, where you can get close to kangaroos, koalas, wombats and many other marsupials. In this park there is also a reptile rare for these places - the Australian sea crocodile, one of the largest crocodiles in the world.
After visiting Ballarat, we will return to Melbourne at around 19.00.
