Philippe Island
philippa Island, 1019 Ventnor Road, Ventnor VIC 3922, Australia
Description:
Only 120 kilometers from Melbourne you can find a unique natural park located on Philippa Island. The park is divided into several thematic areas, each of which has its own attractions.
The main attraction is the so-called Penguin Parade. It happens twice a day - early in the morning and late in the evening. As soon as they wake up, thousands of penguins rush to the water, where they spend all day. And with the onset of darkness still amicably many thousands of pack runs home - to their minks.
Another very interesting place on the island is the Koala Reserve. On Philippe Island, these cute animals do not live in cages or enclosures, but in relative freedom - amid a vast eucalyptus forest.
