Murabbin Airport
Description:
Murabbin Airport, also known as Harry Hawker Airport, is the smallest general aviation airport in Melbourne, Australia. It is located 21 kilometers southeast of the city center. Murabbin currently serves only one airline, King Ailand Airline.
The length of the runway of the airport is only 800 meters, and the width is 20 meters, which allows it to work only with small aircraft. The technical base of the complex includes one terminal, a small hangar and a miniature observation deck. In 2016, it is planned to expand the territory of the airport, as well as equip its runway with new navigation equipment.
The infrastructure of Murabbin includes two cafes, a restaurant, a pharmacy and exchange office, as well as a small relaxation room. The airport administration asks passengers to stay 2 hours before the announcement of boarding.
