Furstel Palace

Strauchgasse 4, 1010 Wien, Austria

Description:

Ferstel Palace is a stunning work of architectural art of the XIX century in the heart of the Austrian capital Vienna. Built by young and bold architect Heinrich von Ferstel, the palace immediately became the pearl of the city and one of its main attractions.

The palace combines elements of Florentine and Venetian architecture, this is due to the fact that the architect of the palace shortly before the construction took a trip to Italy, which affected his further plans.

Initially, the palace housed the Stock Exchange, but in 1877 the exchange moved to another place, and here opened the famous cafe "Central", which has become a popular meeting place for leading artists, scientists and writers. Today there is still a cozy cafe, a chocolate shop, as well as several halls for banquets. Pleasant impressions of the architectural splendor of the Palace of Furstel!
