Butterfly Park
Description:
Butterfly Park is a rainforest in a city building. In a huge house in glass aquariums you can see the whole life path of “flying flowers”, from a pupa and a terrible caterpillar to a flying beauty.
The building is completely glass. The butterflies fly inside. They are not shy and can sit on your hand. Butterflies live in an artificial humid climate, as close as possible to the natural tropics. Here, the humidity reaches 80 percent, and the constant temperature is 28 degrees. Initially, the building was the Palm Pavilion, created in 1901. The Butterfly House, or Butterfly Park, opened in 1994. The institution is designed for tourists who are interested in wildlife. The most valuable specimen here is considered peacock-eyed, with a wingspan of up to 30 cm.
