The monument to the great Austrian composer Ludwig Beethoven, located on Beethovenplatz (Beethoven Square), is the most popular and vibrant in Vienna. Note that inquisitive tourists can combine acquaintance with this monument with a walk in the central city park located nearby.
The author of the monument depicted the composer focused and even a little harsh. On one side of Beethoven is Prometheus, chained to a rock, on the other side is an ancient Greek goddess, symbolizing victory. Near the pedestal of the monument are graceful figures of angels, symbolizing the 9th symphony - the most famous work of the genius composer.
