Museum of Ancient Instruments

1, Neue Burg (entrance from Heldenplatz), 1010 Wien, Austria

About the company:

For centuries, Vienna has been the music capital of Europe. Everything in this city is literally imbued with music - it sounds in parks and squares, in concert halls and festivals, in music museums. Among the museums dedicated to music, a special place is occupied by the Museum of Art History, which houses a rich collection of ancient musical instruments. It is the world’s largest collection of Renaissance musical instruments, including many unique items.

It is impossible to pass by the Museum of Ancient Instruments, especially if you are a connoisseur of classical music. The exhibits of this museum tell the history of music from the time of Joseph Haydn to the twentieth century. In the exhibition halls you can see the authentic piano of Ludwig van Beethoven, the silver trumpets of Maria Theresa, the harpsichord of Joseph Haydn, and in addition to this many rare musical instruments of the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
