Sigmund Freud Museum

Berggasse 19, Vienna, Austria

About the company:

The Sigmund Freud Museum presents tourists with a rich and fascinating exhibition that allows them to get acquainted with the life and practice of the famous doctor, because it was in this house that the founder of psychoanalysis lived from 1891 to 1938.

The house was built in 1889. In 1938, when the Nazis came to power, the Freud family fled to London. In 1971, part of the 15-room apartment was converted into a museum by the Sigmund Freud Society.

In the museum, tourists can visit Freud’s living and working rooms, examine the doctor’s office, reception room, as well as the doctor’s work supplies. Note that the furniture and decoration of the rooms have not changed over time.

In addition, the museum houses the largest library in Europe, which has 35 thousand volumes devoted to psychoanalysis.
