Cafe Noordzee

Belgium, Brussels, Rue Sainte-Catherine 45

About the company:

On St. Catherine’s Square in the center of Brussels there is a street cafe Noordze, which means the North Sea in Flemish. There is no exquisite interior, no helpful waiters - only an open-air bar counter, stretched along the open kitchen, where you see almost lightning fast preparing simple but delicious dishes of seafood and fresh fish.

Try sea snail soup or the signature seafood tomato soup, the recipe of which is considered a secret. Order grilled shrimp with garlic sauce or scallops of Saint-Jacques in French with grilled vegetables and salad. Don’t forget a beer or a glass of white wine and enjoy your outdoor lunch in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Takeaway food can be ordered at the cafe. There is also a fish shop here.
