Fountain of the Pee Girl
Description:
The peeing girl is a fountain and statue measuring only 50 centimeters, created in 1985 by sculptor Denis-Adrian DeBouvry. The fountain was installed 2 years later at the end of the dead-end Alley of Loyalty and for security reasons was surrounded by a bar.
The statue, made of blue and gray limestone, acts as a parody pair of “Pising Boy”, which is a symbol of Brussels and since the 14th century is located in the area of Grand Place, near the fountain “Pising Girl”.
